INDESCRIBABLE! You are Amazing God!
by: Xen Laysa
“He is Creator. He is Definer. All knowing. Architect. He is Unimaginable. Omnipotent. Alpha. Omega. Sustainer. Ageless. Sovereign. Life-Giving. He is Powerful. He is Boundless. He is Holy. He is Glorious. He is Just. He is INDESCRIBABLE.”
The night opened with these words flashed in a video presentation describing our God. Words are not enough. He is indeed INDESCRIBABLE! Sound of the instruments and voices filled the NEC sanctuary. Hands raised, hearts amazed. It was truly a night filled with God’s presence, blessing and mighty work!
On the 28th of January 2012, BCF held the i Worship concert–‘Indescribable’, an event organized by Knights for Jesus and Praisehearted ministries. Members of the congregation, fellow believers from other churches and some invited guests joined together in a night of beholding and worshipping His majesty. With the theme focused on God’s character, each song was mightily used by God to reveal more of Him. It was such a great blessing to see worshippers pour out their hearts in adoration of our Master.
More than an event, it was a beautiful testimony of God’s sovereignty and powerful presence. Undeniably, we felt His sovereign hand at work throughout the event—from the planning and preparation stage, during the concert itself, and even in the hearts of everyone He brought to that place. Each one came with different needs yet found perfect peace and sufficiency in who God is. In his brief yet powerful message, Pastor Butch Estacio invited everyone who needs a touch from God to receive it in Jesus’ Name. As we lifted our voices to Him, God touched our hearts in a way that only He can do.
The event concluded with the song ‘Indescribable’ led by the Youthhearted. As one of the young worshippers declared, it will never be enough to describe the God we are serving. He is indeed indescribable! We realized that more than describing God, it is about beholding His beauty and glory and worshipping Him in truth and in spirit. I believe that is where He brought us that night. A memorable line from the song says, “You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same. You are amazing God.” He is truly awesome! The One who placed the stars in the sky and knows them by name, the One who knows every detail of our lives, loves us with an unfailing love. Realizing all that He is and receiving His great love, we are forever changed!
Truly, it was not our event but His! Thus, ALL glory belongs to Him alone. And there is more to see! May He reveal more of Himself and cause us to love and serve Him as we should.
