“From Heaven’s Throne …” A Christmas Cantata
Nearly 400 members of the Christian Bahrain Fellowship (BCF) and their guests came to the Alumni Club in Adliya on December 18, 2009 for the Christmas cantata of the Chancel Choir. Testimony
Free Indeed
I was living a life that seemed to me the right way to go. I obeyed my religion as faithfully as I could, thinking that that was my ticket to heaven. My life was simple and easy, especially because my father was working abroad. But it suddenly became very difficult to bear.
Relationship, Not Religion
The loving arms of God finally caught up with me on April 6, 1996. On that day, I was whiling my time away at my colleague’s house, when two people, whom I knew, came by to share the message of salvation in the Bible.
My Christian Walk
I was born and raised in a Christian home. Growing up, I attended a Baptist church, the oldest and largest Philippine Baptist Church congregation in Western Visayas. We never skipped church for worship service and other activities under any and all conditions – rain or shine – even though it is situated three kilometers away from home and we had to get there by walking.
Religious But Not Spiritual
I grew up in a very religious family that regularly attends church every Sunday. In our family, we were taught with good values added to our being religious. I studied high school in a private school run by nuns. The more I became so devoted and so I thought that later on I wanted to be a nun also. My life was motivated to be successful thru a career — marks with flying colors, recognitions and a teaching job in well-known schools and of course a future ideal husband.
Healed and Provided
My brothers and sisters, I stand before you to Praise the Lord and bring Glory to His Name. I stand before you as a witness that our Almighty God is our God the Healer and Provider.

Bear the Cross, Lift it up
Chaplain Arthur M. Brown, of the United States naval base in Bahrain, graced Bahrain Christian Fellowship’s (BCF) 24th anniversary worship services in which he was guest speaker. The worship services on March 6 and 8 wound up BCF’s week-long celebration to mark its 24 years of ministry in Bahrain. In his message, Chaplain Brown challenged BCF to continue to lift up Jesus Christ in Bahrain, remembering the church’s Biblical mandate and God’s promise, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me.”
BCF Members Showcase Talents
The 10 Bible Study (BS) areas of Bahrain Christian Fellowship (BCF) showcased their talents on March 3 as part of a week-long church anniversary celebration. Presentations for the Talents Night were diverse and mostly span around the themes of the song entries of the BS areas to the Songwriting Festival held in September 2008.

Devotional
Back, Then Forward
Notwithstanding our sins, the Lord is still faithful in His love to us. He looks back. See how He remembers those early days of ours when He took us into covenant with Himself, and we gave ourselves over to Him.
Invitation to Pray
God encourages us to pray. They tell us that prayer is a pious exercise which has no influence except upon the mind engaged in it.
One Look from the Lord!
What a look was that which the Lord gave to Gideon! He looked him out of his discouragement into a holy bravery.
Thank Him; Dwell Acceptably
Oh, that my heart may be upright, that I may always be able to bless the name of the Lord! He is so good to those that be good, that I would fain be among them and feel myself full of thankfulness every day.
It Will Not Be Long
The last word in the Canticle of love is, “Make haste, my beloved,” and among the last words of the Apocalypse we read, “The Spirit and the Bride say, Come”; to which the heavenly Bridegroom answers, “Surely I come quickly.”
